Processing and logistics

Adding value close to the farm

We plan a 10 tonne per day primary processing unit, with storage and logistics that link our farms and local growers to buyers.

Phase 1

Primary processing unit

We plan to install a semi automated unit able to process 10 tonnes of fresh cassava roots a day, with budgeted costs of NGN 58 million to NGN 63 million including building, machinery and initial working capital.

At 300 operating days the unit would take about 3,000 tonnes of roots a year: 1,000 to 2,000 tonnes from our pilot and the balance purchased from local farmers.

The unit is planned for installation once pilot harvests and buyer terms are confirmed.

Logistics

From field to buyer

Harvest

Pilot farms and local growers deliver fresh roots and grain.

Process

Primary processing turns perishable roots into stable products.

Store

Planned storage protects quality and smooths supply.

Deliver

We aim to supply buyers for food, feed and processing.

Phase 2

Scaling up

In Phase 2 we aim to add larger processing and storage capacity, sized on Phase 1 results and on the offtake agreements we aim to secure first.
